Until further notice, all ships in the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. fleet will adopt the following health screening protocols:  Effective Friday, March 6, mandatory, temperature screenings using digital, non-touch scanners has been conducted with guests, crewmembers, and visitors on embarkation day prior to boarding any vessel. If temperature registers about 100.4°F (38°C), the person and his/her travel companions will be referred to a secondary health screening. Guests who are denied boarding due to screening results will receive compensation.

Cleaning Regimen Changes: When guests check into a Marriott International hotel, they will notice a number of additions to the cleaning regimen designed to set an even higher standard of cleanliness for the hotels, as well as modifications to associate-guest protocols developed to be consistent with recommended social distancing guidelines. Norwegian Logo

Norwegian Cruise Line revealed its new health and safety protocols on June 1. These include mandatory touchless temperature screenings at embarkation, when returning to the ship, and before entering onboard events and dining venues. Capacity across the fleet will be reduced, and capacity in public rooms and events will be limited to encourage social distancing. Cruise with Confidence. Royal Caribbean will let you cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through April 30th, 2022. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now through September 30th, 2020, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before your sail date, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit is valid to book and sail by December 31st, 2021 or 12 months after the date that you cancelled your original sailing — whichever is further.

Enforcing deep-cleaning protocols around the ships, including strong antiviral cleaners to sanitize exposed surfaces, as well as in-depth protocols to regularly clean public and crew areas, service areas and equipment. New protocols to ensure that only healthy guests and crew are boarded. We start with a daily call with Silversea leadership and various professionals to review the latest data on Covid-19 from reliable sources worldwide. Accordingly, we now require all passengers, crew and technicians joining a Silversea ship to share their travel history in the 15 days prior to boarding. If they have traveled to, from or through any area considered at risk for Covid-19 spread, they are denied boarding.

Uniworld has introduced set meal times, eliminated buffet service and has discontinued self-service snacks, which will now be served by crew. Masks are available on buses and in cabins for guests, payments are now contactless, and books, magazines and brochures have been removed. Windstar LogoOn July 14, Windstar announced detailed plans to refit its six vessels with with hospital-grade HEPA filters and ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. The line will employ a safe sanitization formula used in health care settings, and has partnered with the epidemiology department at the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Center for ongoing guidance. In addition to health and temperature screenings at embarkation and enhanced sanitization procedures, Windstar will be staggering arrivals and departures to its yachts to promote social distancing, while expanded dining times throughout venues onboard will further reduce crowding.
