About One&Only Palmilla

In the 1950s Los Cabos was a wild, free place at the southernmost tip of the Baja California, where coyotes ran free under the starry southern skies, and thatched ﬁshing huts huddled in villages along the pristine coastline.

It was here, on a plot of 400 acres of near virgin wonderland, accessible only by yacht or helicopter, that Don Abelardo Rodriguez, son of the Mexican president, and his wife, Hollywood star Lucille Bremmer, built the ﬁrst resort in Los Cabos.

Their 15-room luxury hideaway quickly drew an exclusive guest list including John Wayne, Lucille Ball, and the former United States President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, drawn by its old-world luxury, ambassadorial discretion, and exhilarating deep-sea ﬁshing.
